About the role

• Title: DRIVER
• Number of positions: Three (3)
• Reporting to: Head of Transport

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of proven working experience as a driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
• Flexible and Able to drive long hours
• Extensive knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Willingness to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Relevant training and experience in driving heavy vehicles
• Valid driving license (Class BCE)
• An awareness of occupational health and safety rules

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of company vehicles to ensure cleanliness, detect defects, and confirm safe operating conditions. Submit detailed reports on the truck’s condition after each trip or duty cycle
• Verify shipping and transportation documentation to confirm the accuracy and nature of the load.
• Report all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment promptly.
• Notify management of highway safety hazards encountered during routes.
• Communicate any delays caused by breakdowns, weather, traffic, or other emergencies, as well as irregularities in pick-up or delivery schedules.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations by keeping up-to-date driving licenses, mileage logs, and other legally required records.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, statutory requirements, and updates to legal regulations.
• Perform duties in alignment with company policies and guidelines.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned
