About the role

• Title: Security Officer
• Reporting to: Head of Security

Job Requirements

• Excellent knowledge on public safety, security procedures, operations and protocols
• Operational knowledge on detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Background In law enforcement, criminal justice, police science or equivalent experience as a police officer or military service member
• Good surveillance skills and orientation for detail
• Integrity and professionalism
• Good physical and mental health
• A valid certificate of good conduct
• Kenyan citizenship

Position Roles:

• Implement security operations ensuring that all security procedures are followed as per the organization’s security protocol
• Assist in coordinating and responding to emergencies/crisis providing a timely and coherent response to incidents as they arise
• Provide additional support to the security team
• Implement a security plans to support the company operations
• Implement security related strategies, policies and standards, and follow a concrete course of action for their implementation and review
• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators
• Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
• Assist in conducting security assessments and threat analysis and provide feedback on the same
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
• Develop a working relationship with the company personnel and comprehensive knowledge of the company operations
