On this day, March 10th 2016, Governor Martin Wambora took time out of his busy schedule and paid us a courtesy call. He was pleased with the rate at which our factory was developing. "In August last year, I laid a foundation stone for this construction of the factory which has taken a remarkable record time of six months to be completed", said the Governor.
Upon its full operationalization in June this year, the factory will employ more than 2,000 people.
"My Government's primary aim is to provide an enabling environment for the investors so that they provide the highest quality macadamia to our customers around the world whilst improving returns to our growers. In that regard, my government through the Department of Trade, Tourism, Investment and Industrialization will continue supporting Public Private Partnerships (PPP) so as to create more opportunities for wealth creation and employment to the residents thus boosting the County’s economy”
He said that Privamnuts has tirelessly worked to prevent isolation of the vast majority of smallholder farmers in Kenya.
